It’s spring!

It’s spring!

The weather feels different, the gardens are looking different and Design and Deliver Training is different!

From the beginning of March we’re adding a new service to our menu. It’s a service which has grown out of our teaching and learning provision; OBSERVATION!

As part of our provision for small providers we carry out observations of training. The report is used for; sharing of good practice, inspection purposes, staff development, training needs analysis and to create an overall picture of the training offered.

We’re now rolling this out to other businesses as a tool for analysis and development.

All processes are tailor made for the company

Are carried out as often as needed

It can be an ongoing process (one hour per month)

Monet's garden

As a full week of visits, or a one off visit.

We cover the whole of the north east and can travel further if required

The observations are carried out by trained, experienced and supportive observers to an agreed procedure which includes feedback from the trainer.

This process can be used for other businesses too. Anyone who wants to identify areas for development, areas of highest traffic, areas of good practice or any activity you would like to know more about, so give us a call and see what we can see together.

Looking forward to hearing from you

The Olympics are coming!

The Olympics

Ads and information about the Olympics are appearing daily. Companies are telling us about their commitment to the games, schools are using the publicity to get children involved in all kinds of sport, the government is telling us how good it all is for the country.

Great, it’s a brilliant idea to bring people from all over the world together under the banner of fair play and endeavour.

But is that actually what the Olympics is all about?

Of course not!

The run up to the announcement of the venue for the Olympics was a well managed media event. Teams of experts had been brought together years before to produce a pitch which would consider; finance, venues, staff,  training, marketing, health and safety, logistics, communication etc – in fact all the things any good company considers!

The fact that it was Olympic business only made it large, international and time bound. The planning goes on and now the results are beginning to be seen. The meetings continue because things change, not least the recession and the value of the Euro. There are a huge amount of businesses involved; sponsors who’ve committed vast sums of money, builders who’re creating the Olympic stadia, local authorities around the country who’ve built the games into their long term business plans, communication companies who’ve invested in international, long term agreements, police, ambulance and fire services who’re considering the best and the worst outcomes, food and drinks companies, oh and the Olympians themselves!

Just like all the businesses large and small around the world the competitors will be preparing for the games. They will be working towards their targets and trying to beat their previous personal best. They’ll be aware of the competition, will be gathering data about the venues and the other athletes and using their coaches to the full.

Is your business ready for your own personal Olympics?

Have you got a plan, targets, goals? Do you need a coach either for yourself or your company?

Drop us a line, we’re on our marks and just waiting for you to fire the starting pistol!
